Sri Lanka's free import duty calculator

tariff.lk is a free tool that helps importers, customs brokers, and traders quickly find HS codes and calculate the full cost of importing goods into Sri Lanka — no signup, no limits.

What we do

Sri Lanka's customs system has 7 stacking taxes — Customs Import Duty, PAL, Cess, Excise, SCL, SSCL, and VAT. Each applies to a different base, and the order matters. Getting it wrong means surprises at the port.

We've digitised the full 2026 NITG tariff schedule — 8,941 HS codes — and built a calculator that applies all 7 layers correctly. Type any product in plain English, get the right classification, then enter your CIF value to see exactly what you'll pay.

FTA savings

Sri Lanka has trade agreements with India, Pakistan, Singapore, and APTA/SAFTA members. For many product categories, importing from these countries can reduce the customs duty significantly — sometimes to zero. We show you every applicable FTA and the savings automatically.

Data source

Data is sourced from the Sri Lanka Customs NITG (National Import Tariff Guide) 2026 Edition, HS 2022 nomenclature. Rates are updated when official gazette notifications are issued. Always confirm high-value shipments with a licensed customs broker.
